3M, Minneapolis, announced yesterday that CEO Inge Thulin will move to a newly created position—executive chairman—and will be replaced by current chief operating officer Michael Roman.
Roman has been with 3M for 30 years, according to the Post and Courier, and had led the company’s Industrial Business Group (the company’s largest group) as chief strategy officer.
Thulin took over as CEO in 2012, and called Roman “the clear choice to lead 3M into the future.”
