Rick Ekstrand recently was named to the board of directors for American Solutions for Business (ASB), Glenwood, Minn. Ekstrand served as the district commercial manager for United Telephone System, a telecommunications manager for the State of Minnesota, a vice president and general manager for a local phone company and the president and CEO for Rural Cellular Corporation (RCC), a public traded wireless service provider which he founded in 1990. Verizon acquired RCC in 2008.
