Summer Trends Alert: Turquoise and Green

Celebrities and stores everywhere are catching on to ocean-hued trends for summer 2010. Both Pantone’s Key Colors for spring/summer 2010 and NY’s Fashion Week predicted that colors from turquoise and Amparo Blue, to dried herb and eucalyptus green, would be the focus for this summer’s fashion outlook.

Even fashion stalwart Marie Claire Magazine hailed both turquoise and green as trend-setting summer colors, and even went so far as to feature “Age of Aquarius” turquoise as one of the “hot” nail colors for this summer season (July issue).

“Take your cue from this season’s fashionistas and explore fun shades such as turquoise and green to introduce a bit of style into the simplest tee,” said Kirwei Lo, marketing communications specialist for Trevose, Pennsylvania-based BroderBros. “Both of these colors go great with a simple pair of jeans and make much more of an impact this season than a standard black or white.”

For example, leading fashion site Style.com featured a pair of army-green capris in its summer style section titled Casual Brilliance.

“Trendy fashion colors are a great sales tool to use to market to fashion-conscious customers. Alternative offers an organic scoop neck tee in a variety of bright shades that would go with anything from flip-flops to heels,” Lo added.

From ocean tones to earth friendly tees, this summer’s fashion outlook is brighter than ever.
