The board of directors of Promotional Products Professionals of Canada (PPPC), Dorval, Quebec, today unveiled plans for a strategic management restructuring to help the association better serve and promote the promotional products industry in Canada. Effective Nov. 1, 2018, PPPC will close its office and outsource the full management of the association to association management company Strauss. Through this partnership, Jonathan N. Strauss has been appointed as PPPC’s president and CEO.
“As interim president for the past nine months, Jonathan has led the revitalization of our association, including the formalization of our long-term partnership with Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) and our technology partnership with SAGE,” said Heidi Reimer-Epp, PPPC board chair and CEO, and co-founder of Botanical PaperWorks. “It has been a difficult decision to close our office, but Jonathan’s firm has an outstanding track record of success in improving the cost efficiencies and member benefits for many leading Canadian associations. We are excited to be embarking on this next chapter for PPPC under his leadership.”
Gladys Kasp, PPPC’s current communications and planning manager, will continue her key leadership role with the PPPC through Strauss. As of Nov. 1, Kasp will become PPPC’s general manager, based in Montreal, and will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the association. Reporting directly to Strauss, Kasp will continue to provide service to PPPC members in both French and English.
“The promotional products industry in Canada is uniquely dynamic, with a rich history and immense potential in today’s evolving marketing landscape,” said Strauss. “My team and I are looking forward to expanding our work with PPPC to build a stronger future for the association and its members.”
