Mid-Nite Snax, Mineola, N.Y., announced it acquired Gourmet Gems, Blue Springs, Mo., a company primarily known for chocolate- and candy-coated sunflower seeds.
“We are on our way to becoming the largest food supplier,” said Craig Fraum executive vice president for Mid-Nite Snax. “We are being very aggressive in this economy to keep growing both Mid-Nite Snax and Gourmet Gems,” added Fraum.
Mid-Nite Snax will warehouse the entire Gourmet Gem operation at its Mineola facility. The two brands will continue to be distinct and the phone, fax and Web site for Gourmet Gems will remain unchanged.
