Hub Pen Company, Braintree, Mass., has hired Scott Hareid of Farmington, Minnesota-based Promo-Connections Inc. to represent the company in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. A 17-year industry veteran, Hareid founded Promo-Connections in 2001.
Hareid got his industry start as a customer service representative for Mankato, Minnesota-based Carlson Craft in 1995 before moving on to St. Paul, Minnesota-based 3M Promotional Markets in 1997 as an inside account manger. In 1999, Hareid began his outside sales career when he was hired by Clearwater, Florida-based (previously Red Wing, Minnesota-based) Norwood Promotional Products as an outside factory sales representative.
An active volunteer with Upper Midwest Association of Promotional Products (UMAPP), Hareid has served as supplier voting board member from 2008-2009, secretary in 2010 and is currently the treasurer. The association honored Hareid in 2009 with the Northstar award for “Multi-Line Rep of the Year” as well as the UMAPP Volunteer of the Year Award.
