Orbus Exhibit & Display Group, Woodridge, Ill., announced that it has been recognized for the Specialty Graphics Imaging Association (SGIA) 2019 Sustainable Business Award. The Sustainable Business Award spotlights companies that have implemented projects to improve employee safety and health, reduce environmental impact, or improved business efficiency. Orbus was recognized specifically for its reduced environmental impact.

In 2018, Orbus recycled or diverted 90 percent of total waste from landfills, up from 77 percent in 2017. It recycled 107,000 lbs. of aluminum; 260,000 lbs. of plastic; 456,000 lbs. of fabric and 742,000 lbs. of cardboard, cores and paper due to reducing, reusing, and recycling materials more effectively.
Since 2011, Orbus has consistently made its environmental impact a priority and continues to keep it at the forefront of Orbus’ mission throughout 2019. Orbus’ ISO 14001:2015 certification is a driving force behind its environmental commitment and recycling efforts.
