Gemini Industries, Roxana, Ill., announced that it has acquired TKCups-Sorg’s, a supplier of custom printed napkins, plates, coffee sleeves, coasters, cups and more.
Founded in 1996, TKCups-Sorg’s has specialized in both paper and plastic food service products, and has introduced environmentally-friendly product lines. Through the acquisition, Gemini will expand its promotional product offering with a wide range of food service products in line with Gemini’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing.
“We are excited to expand our portfolio of promotional products and services with the addition of the TKCups-Sorg’s industry-leading products,” Steve Ehlert, general manager for Gemini, said in a press release. “For over 20 years, TKCups-Sorg’s has been known for producing high-quality napkins and cups that have supported brand messages at special events and beyond, delivered throughout North America.”
Ehlert added that TKCups-Sorg’s would continue manufacturing its products in New England.

Laufer will retire from TKCups-Sorg’s following the acquisition to “pursue other interests” after helping with the ownership transition, per the press release. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
