Bodek and Rhodes Offers Education, Insider Tips with New Online Presence

“Part of our job is to help our customers sell more, market themselves better, and become apparel experts for their clients,” said Mike Rhodes, president of Bodek and Rhodes, Philadelphia. To that end, the company, a leading wholesaler of imprintable activewear, recently launched an informational blog at bodekandrhodes.wordpress.com.

Following quickly on the launch of the company’s Facebook and Twitter efforts, the blog offers more in-depth education and news. The Bodek Blog, as it’s titled, focuses on issues in the apparel industry and is aimed at giving decorators and promotional product resellers helpful, timely information about the industry. Some topics of posts include selling tips from top salespeople, industry news and changes that affect everyday business, and marketing and promotional ideas to help boost profits such as one post titled “The Marketing Tip that Increased Business 44%.”

“Facebook and Twitter are great for us,” said Mary Ellen Nichols, director of marketing communications, “and we’re really connecting with a lot of customers through those two sites. But we also wanted to do something a little meatier to help make our customers’ businesses succeed.”

Bodek and Rhodes is known for using technology to help its customers, including developing the industry’s first complete virtual sample tool with their Apparel Design Studio, and introducing a fully-searchable catalog in digital form through ZOOMcatalog.

Bodek and Rhodes is headquartered in Philadelphia, with distribution centers in Philadelphia; Niles, Mich.; Fresno, Calif.; Norton, Mass.; and Orlando, Fla. More information on the company is available at Bodek and Rhodes’ website, on Twitter and Facebook, and at bodekandrhodes.wordpress.com.
