Bell and Howell Introduces Postal IQ Software at GRAPH EXPO

At GRAPH EXPO, Bell and Howell, Wheeling, Ill., introduced Postal IQ software, a solution that impacts and enhances postage costs and production productivity. With Postal IQ, customers can match technology to business needs and improve a single process or the complete operations process.

Postal IQ optimizes postage by ensuring all account information satisfies postal quality standards. In addition, multiple jobs can be digitally co-mingled, providing greater savings from creating deeper densities and volumes across ZIP codes.

By digitally co-mingling jobs, mailers also have the opportunity to split jobs based on mailpiece attributes and postage discounts achieved. For example, #10 mailpieces that have all achieved the maximum five-digit discount can be output in one job, and the 6″ x 9″ or flats work that would benefit from being physically sorted on a mail sorter can be output in a different job. This optimizes the use of personnel and equipment for downstream processes.

If mailpieces are damaged during production, Postal IQ can even update postage reports so that postage is not paid on spoiled pieces.

“The IQ Series combines the best in postal and data software, maximizing our customers’ potential. The incorporation of BCC Solutions with the Bell and Howell postal hardware and software offerings creates a product that is truly best in class,” said Hank Martin, vice president, Postal Software Marketing. “We can maximize the postal savings of any customer of any size, and with the Data Quality on-Demand suite of products, we ensure that the customer’s vital data is always current, correct and complete.”
