World Emblem International will expand internationally with the opening of its Canadian manufacturing plant on August 1, 2011. This is World Emblem’s tenth manufacturing operation worldwide with U.S. locations in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada and California, as well as international locations in the United Kingdom, France and Mexico.
This new location in Mississauga, Ontario expands World Emblem into a relatively new marketplace. World Emblem has been offering its products produced in the United States and Mexico to Canadian customers for over 10 years, but the company is enhancing its product offerings and expanding its client base by including quicker turnaround times on production, a Sales Manager based in the Toronto area, and better shipping rates to clients in Canada since duties and brokerage fees will no longer be included. The Canadian manufacturing plant will be capable of producing Perfect Print sublimated emblems, embroidered logo emblems, direct embroidery on apparel, transfer applications on apparel and embroidered name and company emblems.
World Emblem would also like to announce the addition of Alfredo Torres as the new Canada Plant Manager. Torres comes to World Emblem with 11 years of experience in production and materials management in the automotive market as well as five years in the uniform rental industrial laundry industry. Torres has also completed the Production Management Course at PMI/TRSA, Supply Chain Management and Strategic Planning of Resources at Seneca College in Toronto.
