Ennis Inc., Midlothian, Texas, announced the promotion of Joe Thompson to general manager of the DeWitt, Iowa facility. Thompson is a 27-year print industry veteran with a specialty in labels. Prior to Ennis, Thompson was the print manager for York Label. He joined the Ennis Inc. team in December of 2010 as plant manager and he is now replacing Gene Carlson, who recently retired. Thompson received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bellevue University.
Dale Donati, vice president of operations, said, “Although we have been planning for Gene’s retirement for some time, we are losing a great General Manager. Joe Thompson brings a wealth of experience to this position and he has been embraced by the entire management team of Ennis-DeWitt. Joe’s knowledge and hard work will keep Ennis-DeWitt as a leader in the marketplace.”
