H&M Already Pulled the Licensed Justin Bieber Collection

After Justin Bieber took to Instagram to complain about an unapproved merchandise line, H&M is pulling all of the products with his face and lyrics on them.

“H&M has followed all proper approval procedures, as awe have done in this case, but out of respect for the collaboration and Justin Bieber, we have removed the garments from selling,” H&M said in a statement to CNBC.

The collection included T-shirts, hoodies, smartphone accessories and tote bags, and referenced lyrics to the song “Ghost.”

Bieber claimed in an Instagram story that he never approved these products, calling them “trash,” and telling fans “don’t buy it.”

By yesterday afternoon, all of the products were removed from H&M’s web stores.

Licensed lines with celebrities can be huge money-makers. But, you have to make sure all of the products are safe to release. This is a bad look for H&M, who is now left with dead stock.
