Hanesbrands (asi/59528) is collaborating with nonprofit Delivering Good to launch a disaster relief pack with clothing and comfort items for people affected by crisis.

The Winston-Salem, NC-based supplier, which was recently purchased by Counselor Top 40 supplier Gildan (asi/56842), collaborated with the nonprofit and other organizations, including co-sponsors Ralph Lauren and Accenture to create the Basic Comforts Pack.

The bundle includes T-shirts, sweatpants, a sweatshirt, underwear, a blanket and tote bag donated by Hanesbrands and KnitWell Group. It will reach people who need them by connecting with a nationwide network of nonprofit partners.

The collaborating organizations gathered at Delivering Good’s Kentucky-based warehouse to help assemble 500 comfort packs, which are ready to give to people in need.

“At Hanesbrands, we believe everyone deserves comfort, especially during their most difficult moments,” said Teddy Mendoza, global sustainability officer at Hanesbrands. “Clothing may seem small, but in a disaster, it can be one of the most personal and powerful forms of support. We’re proud to lead this effort with our long-time partners at Delivering Good to bring compassion, warmth and dignity to those who need it most.”

Delivering Good aims to fight poverty and tragedy through donations from its network of over 800 community partners that help provide new products like apparel, toys, school supplies and other products to people who need them. Hanesbrands has donated millions of items through the company to support families in need since 2017.

“The Basic Comforts Pack is not just clothing – it’s a starting point. A moment of relief that says: You are not alone,” said Matthew Fasciano, president and CEO of Delivering Good. “As we mark 40 years of Delivering Good, we’re reminded that meeting basic needs is the first step toward long-term recovery and opportunity. Thanks to our incredible brand partners, we’re able to deliver more than just products – we’re delivering the care, dignity and the hope people need to move forward.”
