The Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC), the Southern California region’s nonprofit association, recently announced the full roster of industry professionals playing in this year’s SAAC All-Star Band. The band will be playing the post-show Mixer & Wine Tasting at the 2013 SAAC Show, which is Wednesday, August 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The band roster is as follows:
- Joseph G. Scott, Vice President of Scott & Associates—Guitar and Vocals
- Rick Brenner, CEO of Prime Line—Guitar
- Gary Haley, President and COO of Beacon Promotions—Bass
- Steve Meyer, Vice President of Sales at Molenaar LLC—Sax
- Michael Woody, President of International Marketing Advantages Inc.—Vocals
“We’ll be serving up some Motown and rock ‘n’ roll, which will go equally well with white or red wine,” said Joseph G. Scott, MAS, vice president of Scott & Associates Inc. and primary founder of the band. “Prepare for an artistic triumph and some hilarity.”
Scott got the idea for the All-Star Band while at Promotions East (now Expo East) one year, while watching a band play after Taste of the Regionals. Being a musician himself, and also realizing he knew many musically talented people in the industry, he pitched the idea for an industry all-star band to SAAC, which jumped at the idea to include it in their annual trade show.

About the 2013 SAAC Show
The 2013 SAAC show returns to the Long Beach Convention Center with some of the largest suppliers in the promotional products industry. In addition to two days of exhibits and engaging education, this year’s SAAC has a new layout, a performance by the SAAC All-Star Band of industry musicians at the post-show Mixer & Wine Tasting, and new show hours.
