Question: Is there a way to create an invoice in QB Premier without it being recorded into my receivables until I am ready?
Answer: Yes, QB Premier has a feature that allows for an invoice to be created but not entered into your receivables until you have completed the order. Create the invoice, and at top of invoice screen, click “Invoice Pending.” This is a nice feature if you don’t yet have all the information to complete the invoice, but you want it as ready to go as possible prior to that.
When the invoice is ready and you have made any adjustments needed, click “Invoice Pending” at the top of the screen to turn off the pending status. It will then be entered into your Accounts Receivable.
