Typically saved for T-shirts and tank tops, deep-Vs and wide necklines are becoming more popular with pullovers and sweatshirts. J. America recently sent Promo Marketing samples of a few of its Ladies Vanity Collection. Among the five garments J. America sent, three had interesting necklines that could add the originality needed to make an apparel promotion stand out (the other two were zip-ups and were equally interesting, albeit not related to this post).
V-neck
The Vanity 3/4 Sleeve SLUB Hooded Tee in lime boasts a V-neckline, 3/4 sleeves, a hood and the longer length popular with youth apparel. The slub fabrication is trendy right now so the pullover would work well for a high school or college promotion, either in the school store or for sports teams, clubs or sororities.
Slit V-neck
The Vanity Brushed V Hood has long sleeves, a hood, a front pocket and small slit V-neck. The 60/40 cotton/poly sweatshirt offers a smaller V-neck to keep wearers warm. The wildberry pink color makes it great for female-focused promotions.
Wide Neckline
The Vanity Open Neck Tunic Fleece has a longer length, baggier fit and a front pocket. The 60/40 cotton/poly sweatshirt is warm and features areas for imprint on the front and back. The charcoal heather color can easily be paired with a men’s sweatshirt in the same color.
A note on samples: Other than being able to see a garment up close, samples provide your clients with the chance to feel the material. The sweatshirts J. America sent are soft and warm, while the slub pullover is light and cozy (perfect for layering – another trend). Two different sweatshirts may look the same in pictures, but feeling them or even trying them on gives the buyer a better opportunity to find the perfect piece for the promotion.
