Jerry Russo, vice president of operations with Bridgeport, Connecticut-based Prime Line, was honored for his 30th anniversary with Prime Line during a reception last week at the company’s headquarters.
After starting with Prime Line as assistant to the comptroller, Russo rose up the ranks working in purchasing, accounting and customer service before assuming his present position overseeing operations. “The opportunity to grow with the company and being exposed to different areas of our business have been important factors in my longevity with Prime,” Russo said.
“These last 14 years in operations have been the most enjoyable for me because of the people I work with,” Russo added. “I love these people. They’re part of my extended family. I’m also appreciative of the kindness and support given to me by the Lederer family.”
Prime Line is a family-owned business with 490 employees, including 31 who have been with the company for 15 or more years; 39 with a tenure of 10 or more years; and 91 with five or more years . Earlier this year, the company released the Prime Family Album video featuring many of its long time employees. It can be viewed here.
“Jerry is one of several mainstays we have at Prime. The consistency and trust developed from working with them over many years is a big reason why people want to partner and stay with us,” said Jeff Lederer, president of Prime Line. “Other reasons include our longevity, quality, knowledge of the industry and a deep understanding of what it takes to service distributors.”
