Shelley Foland Promoted to Chief Executive Officer at Boxercraft Inc.

Boxercraft Inc., located in Atlanta, recently announced the promotion of Shelley Foland to the role of chief executive officer.

Promoted from the position of vice president of sales and marketing, Foland will continue to expand and accelerate Boxercraft’s growth strategies to enhance the company’s leadership position in the apparel industry. Foland brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience in the apparel industry, including companies like 180s and Lion Brothers.

“Boxercraft is one of America’s great apparel companies, with a proud history of supplying exciting spirit wear apparel to youth, teams, schools and colleges. It’s a great honor to accept the position of CEO, and I look forward to continuing to build on its success,” Foland said.

Boxercraft is recognized as a pioneer in the spirit wear category. It was one of the first companies to identify and capitalize on the “underwear as outerwear” trend. Founded in 1985, Boxercraft has grown from offering a single product to offering thousands of items across multiple product lines including boxers, fashion and team flannel pants, hoodies, T-shirts and afghans.

“There is no company in the apparel industry with a stronger desire to work with our customers and provide them great products that are comfortable, fun to wear, and can be custom decorated,” Foland added. “More than ever, we want our customers to know how much we value their business and our commitment to deliver the high-quality decorated and blank apparel that sets the standard as the industry leader.”

“Shelley is exactly the right leader for Boxercraft,” said Patten Pettway, Jr., partner at River Associates Investments LLC. “Her extensive sales and marketing experience in the apparel industry, coupled with her vision for Boxercraft’s role as the premiere service oriented company in the decorated spirit wear and licensed product markets will help shape Boxercraft as it continues its growth and expansion. Shelley has been a natural fit and driving force at Boxercraft, working to maintain its strong heritage and corporate culture.”

Kevin Nisbet, former Boxercraft CEO, who is leaving the company for personal reasons, will remain with Boxercraft through the end of July to assist in the transition.
