Prime Line Introduces Augmented Reality in its 2013 Catalog

Prime Line, Bridgeport, Conn., recently introduced augmented reality technology in its 2013 catalog, marking the first use by an industry supplier in a catalog. This cutting-edge technology, featuring 3-D animations that lift off the page, generated excitement among distributors who witnessed demonstrations at Prime Line’s booth at the ASI Orlando Show.

To view the 3-D animations in the 2013 Prime Line catalog, distributors must first download the free Actable app from the App store on their iPad, iPhone or Android device. To watch a 3-D animation of the Rubik’s Mini Twist-A-Snake (item PL-3632), download the Actable app and click on this link.

“We’re always looking to create new and different sales tools for distributors. Augmented reality is unique in that it literally brings our products to life,” said Jeff Lederer, president of Prime Line. “This is really the tip of the iceberg. This technology allows us to interact with distributors in many other ways, which we expect to incorporate into future promotions.”

Prime Line’s 2013 catalog is the largest in company history and features 213 new items including several Gumbite technology products, which help maintain a clean and organized work space for anyone using a computer or tablet. Gumbite joins Leeman New York, BUILT and Rubik’s as brands that are exclusive to Prime Line.

Distributors may order Prime Line’s 2013 catalog by fax at (203) 330-0123 or by e-mail at [email protected]. The catalog may be downloaded or viewed at www.primeline.com.
