Editor’s Picks: No Sweat

I admittedly don’t know much about basketball. I know the Miami Heat won the 2011-12 NBA championship. And I know that people love to hate LeBron James.

I also know that while basketball season may have just ended, it will be back in five minutes. In the meantime, summer is officially here and there are many sports-related activities to keep people busy. And instead of just being a spectator, you might even consider participating in some of them. Perhaps, a pick-up basketball game of your own? A heated tennis match? A refreshing jog?

Whatever you do, don’t forget the all-important headband. Minimize perspiration with moisture wicking fabric and keep those stray hairs at bay. Check these out.

Hot, Hot, Heat!
You know it’s a good workout if you break a sweat. However, that doesn’t mean you have to look like a “hot mess.” The Moisture Wicking Headband from Outdoor Cap Company Inc. is made of 100 percent polyester fleece on the outside and features 100 percent polyester lining with bamboo charcoal attributes. It is available in black, red, pink, navy, dark green, light grey, purple, royal or maroon. One size fits most.

Rock and Run
The Runner’s Earphones Headband from Hammacher Schlemmer brings a whole new level of enjoyment to your exercise experience. Unlike in-ear buds that can easily become dislodged, the headband has two integrated speakers secured inside for extra comfort while listening to music during your workout. The speakers’ 48” cord connects to any audio device equipped with a 1/8” jack, such as an iPod. The wafer-thin and lightweight speakers are easily removed for machine washing the breathable, recycled polyester headband.

Bring It
Athletes always come prepared. So follow in their wise footsteps and don’t forget to wear the Embroidered Headband from Suntex Industries. The headband features an imprint size of 1-1/2×1-1/2”. Available colors include: white, black, navy, red, royal, pink, yellow, light blue, burgundy, dark green, light pink, kelly green, purple, gold, orange or red/white/blue.
