City Paper Company Merges with ImageWorks

CPCity Paper Company, Birmingham, Ala., announced that it has merged with ImageWorks, a Birmingham, Alabama-based distributor.

Rick Roth, president of ImageWorks, said in a press release that the company chose to join City Paper Company to offer more print, promotional products and marketing services to ImageWorks’ network of customers.

“The driving force behind this merger is growth and greater stability for me, my team and my customers,” Roth said in the press release. “My entire professional background has been providing products and service. I have learned in offering products in any industry that who you buy from can be just as important as what you buy. This merger will further strengthen my ability to offer my customers new, innovative and best-in-class products and services, and provide my team vast growth potential.”

“City Paper Company opened its doors 119 years ago with the belief that we should build lasting, profitable relationships with customers through the best service, best products and the best value prices,” Paul Friedman Jr., CEO of City Paper Company, said in a press release.

“ImageWorks clearly believes in this model, and we could not have found a better partner to help us expand our ever-growing presence in the promotional products industry,” added Mark Friedman, chief operating officer of City Paper Company.

The merger became effective yesterday, and ImageWorks will exist as a division of City Paper Company.
