According to Golf Digest, Nike has taken a different approach with its MM Fly Polo golf shirts. Although the shirts are still made with Dri-Fit technology, Nike has released three alternative redesigns to the standard golf shirt.
The Nike MM Fly Blade features a tapered, ribbed collar design, and professional golfer Rory McIlroy already has added the shirt to his golf wardrobe.
The MM Fly Roll has a similar design, with a shift in the traditional shawl collar design; and the MM Framing Commander features a cut, make and trim collar, which utilizes the same material in the body and the collar of the shirt.
Alongside the changes in collar design, Nike also is offering the shirts in both standard fit and a more modern, slimmer version to satisfy the spectrum of tastes in the golf-apparel industry. The slimmer fit features a more tailored fit through the crest and shorter sleeves with a trimmer taper.
“Any time I can have my off-course style blend in with my on-course style, it’s a big thing for me,” said Nike Tour staffer Thorbjørn Olesen to Golf Digest. “The clothes we wear on the course almost become an expression of our personality.”
The shirts will retail for around $90 each.
