Woody Allen and Dov Charney Settle Lawsuit

Each in his own right controversial, actor- writer-director Woody Allen and American Apparel Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dov Charney seem to finally agree on something—namely, the amount of money it would take to settle a $10 million dollar lawsuit disputing whether Charney’s Los Angeles-based American Apparel had the legal right to use an image of Woody Allen on a company billboard.

NEW YORK , May 18 – American Apparel Inc. settled film director Woody Allen’s lawsuit over the company’s use of his image in advertising for $5 million, Allen said on Monday as the case was about to come to trial.
