New Kensington, Pennsylvania-based Leed’s, a member of Polyconcept North America, announced it added products to its EcoSmart line to meet market demands for “green” promotions at a range of price points and across an array of styles and categories. With roughly 25 percent of Leed’s 77 EcoSmart products selling for less than $5–and nearly half for less than $10—buyers the company feels distributors will no longer need to choose between eco-friendly and budget-friendly.
The 2009 EcoSmart product line includes new materials and spans 12 categories. Organic cotton totes and recycled cardboard desktop items are among the new products introduced this year.
In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of EcoSmart products is donated to American Forests, a nonprofit conservation organizatio, to plant trees in North American planting projects. Over 7,000 trees have been funded to date.
Leanne Finney, director of marketing at Leed’s, reported, “The response to our EcoSmart products has been tremendous—for not only their style and quality, but also for the fact that we donate a portion of the proceeds to the American Forests program. We are excited to continue to expand this product line into new categories at all price points, while still maintaining the integrity of the EcoSmart mission statement.”
