Leadership Advisory Committee Issues Call to Serve

Members of the PPAI Leadership Advisory Committee released a message for its members urging participation in the industry by submitting a nomination form for the PPAI Board of Directors.

“There is a conception that only a select few people can be on a committee and eventually end up on the PPAI Board,” said committee member Charley Johnson, vice president of sales and marketing for Salt Lake City, Utah-based supplier SnugZUSA.

“We are here to tell you that’s wrong. We are here to tell you to stop assuming that you can’t make a difference and that you can’t help us take this industry into the future—you can. Who knows, you might be the next chairman of the board,” added Johnson.

“The promotional products business is a profession that’s changing, a profession that needs this change to help members continue to improve,” commented Rod Brown, committee member and CFO of Pleasanton, California-based distributor MadeToOrder.

“Without change and without new talent and fresh ideas we can’t get better, and better is what we all want. Together we can make it better and we can be the people who future generations talk about,” concluded Brown.
