The 2016 PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., will take place July 28 to 31. This week, NJ.com gave readers a sneak peak at some of the 2016 PGA Championship merchandise that will be on sale at the official store.
While there’s no confirmation as to whether or not Tiger Woods will participate, exact replicas of every shirt he (hypothetically) would wear will be available to purchase.
Rory McIlroy’s and Brooks Koepka’s Nike shirts also will be available during the four-day tournament for $98 each.
“It’s great for people to be able to wear the piece[s] not only during the event but post-event, be able to reference that they’re wearing something that that specific player was wearing—who could end up possibly being the champion,” Mike Quirk, senior director of merchandising and licensing at PGA of America, said, according to NJ.com.
Quirk added that roughly 95 percent of the merchandise in the store is custom and limited edition, with only 2 percent of the store items available for purchase online. There also will be merchandise from Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Nike, Under Armour, Cutter & Buck and Greg Norman.
