With football season making its long-awaited return last week, fans have been getting their gear in check. And for Los Angeles residents who have a hometown NFL team for the first time in 22 years, there’s no better time to get in on the action. At least that’s what Uber is hoping, according to Recode.
Ahead of tonight’s Los Angeles Rams season opener, Los Angeles residents will be able to order Rams merchandise through the UberEats app, Uber’s food delivery offshoot.
UberEats has teamed up with online retailer Fanatics to deliver Rams jerseys, T-shirts and helmets signed by quarterback Jared Goff. Fans can order the merchandise with or without food.
Within the last year, Uber has increased its special delivery promotions. Recently, the company teamed up with Wal-Mart to deliver office supplies. And, the company also launched a summer essentials gift bag giveaway.
