Bill Murray does it all—he acts, he plays basketball (any “Space Jam” fans?), he bartends and now, he designs golf apparel. According to Golf.com, Bill Murray has partnered with his brother, Joel, and the Chive for his William Murray Golf collection.
The collection includes a Chicago Cubs-inspired pinstripe polo and a baseball cap featuring the brand’s logo, Bill Murray throwing a golf club. The rest of the collection will be available online on Oct. 20, and will feature more polos, button-up shirts, shorts, hats and T-shirts.
With Murray’s role in “Caddyshack” and his childhood job as a caddie, a golf apparel line seemed like an (almost) natural extension of the actor’s résume. According to Joel Murray, the collection is the brothers’ attempt to make golf more fun.
“With William Murray Golf, we’re looking for that perfect combination of style, humor and subtle irreverence as a way to make things more laid back, relatable and fun,” said Joel Murray, to Vanity Fair.
One thing’s for sure, the collection is already garnering attention. Both the polo T-shirt and the baseball cap sold out within a week.
