We’ve been relatively vocal on Amazon’s potential apparel ventures. Now it seems the e-commerce giant is looking to disrupt the apparel game in the U.K., too, according to Engadget.
Recently, Amazon U.K. snatched senior design and buying experts from U.K. retailers M&S and Primark. Supposedly, Amazon’s own clothing label already is in production with an expected launch date as early as this spring. The brand already has its own underwear line, Iris & Lilly, but this would certainly mean an increase in product offerings.
With the potential for high quality fashion at affordable prices and Amazon Prime two-day delivery, it would be difficult to compete with Amazon’s business model. We’ll keep you updated as the story develops.
