We love T-shirts—we have dresser drawers full of them to prove it. But we’ve grown more selective of which tees make the cut these days and end-users have, too.
“It’s important to look at options that are more want-to-wear styles, instead of have-to-wear products,” Rhea Aslin, divisional brand manager at Issaquah, Washington-based SanMar, said. “The more people want to wear your T-shirt, the more they’ll see your brand.” So what tees do end-users want to wear? We’re glad you asked. According to Aslin, heather fabrics, which provide additional detail to shirts, and blended fabrics, like tri-blends that serve as softer options, currently are trending for both men and women. And, specifically on the women’s side, tees are being used as “an expression of style,” with details like dolman sleeves, drop shoulders, crop tops and relaxed fits.
Choosing the right T-shirt for your client’s promotion comes down to understanding the end-user’s need—from cut to fabrication. Here are a few styles that could be the perfect fit.
