AIA Corporation, Appleton, Wisconsin, announced that industry veteran Rich Berg has joined the company as senior vice president of owner success. Berg will lead owner success and business development, continuing to enhance and evolve AIA owner relationship initiatives and revenue growth. He will report to CEO Nancy Schmidt.
As the leader of AIA’s Owner Success team, Berg is responsible for providing the company’s nearly 300 distributors with the individualized support and solutions needed to grow their businesses. This includes sales coaching and training, business planning and forecasting, and mentorship programs, among other services.
Berg will also oversee the recruitment of growth-oriented prospects who are aligned with the core values and purpose of AIA, to join the progressive and creative Owner Community. In addition to leading this selective process, Berg will drive business development marketing efforts, conduct prospect assessments to identify solutions, and negotiate and execute new owner agreements.
“At AIA, the work of our Owner Success team plays a critical role in the growth of our distributors,” Schmidt said. “Rich’s consultative sales expertise well positions him to lead this team, and I’m confident he will further establish AIA as a trusted partner among our owner community.”
Berg has nearly 20 years of promotional products industry experience, and has served in leadership roles at Staples Promotional Products, Corporate Imaging Concepts, Facilisgroup and Deluxe Promotional Solutions. Most recently, as vice president of business development at Deluxe, he was responsible for business development in enterprise and mid-market channels for promotional marketing services, consistently delivering profitable sales growth.
“I was drawn to AIA because of the talented professionals I will work with, the company’s strong leadership team, and the opportunity to support AIA’s incredible owner community,” Berg said. “I look forward to meeting our owners, and working with them to identify opportunities and solutions to strengthen and build their businesses through individual coaching, technology and marketing solutions, peer events and educational training programs.”
