Nashville has long been an advocate for sharing Southern hospitality. But this week, owing to tornadoes that struck Tennessee’s capital city, it is receiving some assistance through T-shirt companies that are directing proceeds from sales to relief efforts for the stricken communities.
Apparel-based responses to natural disasters often center on selflessness, and endeavors by locations in Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky are destined to prove helpful to those whose lives have taken on the burden of rebuilding. Local entity Project 615 is proving an immediate injection of hope through its ‘Nashville Strong’ youth and adult tees, donating all profits from the $20 and $30 tops to the Community Foundation of Middle TN’s Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund. The tees continue a humanitarian bent that Project 615 also is showing through its Spread Love It’s the Nashville Way sweatshirt and tee that look to address hunger relief efforts in the Volunteer State.

A ‘Tennessee Strong’ T-shirt is helping Nine Line Apparel play its part in the mission to restore normalcy to Nashville, with the $26.99 creation set to secure assistance for the Putnam County Rescue Squad and the aforementioned community foundation.
“We believe that being a patriotic American is more than waving a flag,” Nine Line Apparel executive assistant Amanda Herring said. “We believe that raising money when you have the ability to support something like this or just getting out there and volunteering to help other people is an amazing way to support your community.”
Shop Local Kentucky feels the same way, having ended earlier today its form of assistance to the relief plan through a ‘Nashville Forever’ T-shirt.

At $25, the company’s T-shirt reply to the devastation meshes with Project 615’s and Nine Line Apparel’s efforts to give the public a trio of means to increase resolve among Nashville occupants and those who are assisting their recovery. As more information comes out about the damage the tornadoes inflicted, we expect for more apparel businesses to join the cause to restore the Music City and prove yet again that decorated apparel can help soothe the dilemmas that unfortunate occasions leave us to handle.
