After more than four decades of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the promotional products industry, Bill and Sharon Miller, founders of BCG Creations, announced their plans for retirement on June 28, 2024. Their retirement marks the end of an era characterized by passion, perseverance, and unparalleled dedication.
In 1981, Bill Miller embarked on a transformative journey that reshaped not only his own future, but also that of his future family. Guided by a bold vision and fueled by his unique blend of salesmanship and determination, he founded BCG, affectionately known by Miller as “small, but mighty.” Under his guidance, BCG thrived, emerging as a formidable force in the industry.
One of Miller’s greatest salesmanship triumphs was convincing Sharon, a local nurse, to join him on the adventure of a lifetime. Together, they raised four children while nurturing and growing BCG into the success it is today. Their partnership extended beyond business, as they became true road warriors, tirelessly promoting BCG’s capabilities at industry events across the U.S. and Canada. And, partners through it all, they did every show together.
Reflecting on their journey, Sharon and Bill express gratitude for the lifelong friendships forged within the industry: customers; fellow suppliers; and, since joining HPG in 2018, fellow team members alike.
“Sharon and I are humbled by the friendships and memories the promotional products industry has given us,” Bill Miller says. “As we embark on this new adventure called retirement, we carry with us the lessons learned, the bonds forged, and the legacy of BCG. Cheers to the past and the exciting future ahead!”
While bidding farewell to trade shows and HPG events, Bill and Sharon assured audiences that their legacy will endure through their eldest son, Zack Miller, who has been an integral part of BCG for over a decade and will continue to lead as BCG’s general manager. The Millers’ iconic English bulldogs will also continue to make regular appearances, symbolizing the enduring spirit of BCG.
“Watching my parents build BCG from the ground up has been an inspiration,” Zack Miller says. “Their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment have laid the foundation for our family’s legacy in the industry. As I step further into a leadership role, I am honored to continue their vision and carry forward the BCG legacy they worked so tirelessly to create.”
“As we close this chapter of our lives in the promotional products industry, Bill and I are filled with gratitude for the experiences shared, the friendships made, and the growth we’ve witnessed,” says Sharon Miller. “Retirement may mark the end of an era, but it also marks the beginning of a new journey, filled with cherished memories and endless possibilities.”
HPG acquired BCG Creations in 2018.
“The Miller’s passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in shaping BCG’s success,” says HPG CEO Chris Anderson. “While we bid farewell to two industry icons, we also celebrate their remarkable legacy and the enduring spirit they’ve instilled within our company. We wish them all the best in their well-deserved retirement.”
