Beacon Promotions, New Ulm, Minn., announced that Bruce Schermerhorn, Great Lakes regional vice president of sales, was recently elected to the PPAChicago board of directors.
When asked about his recent election to the board of directors, Schermerhorn stated “I am very fortunate to be involved with PPAChicago and look forward to working with the board. This is an ever-changing industry and membership helps to keep up with educational opportunities, a forum to exchange ideas and a voice. The association allows you to be part of a larger picture, beyond your job and company, and that is fulfilling.”
Schermerhorn has been in the promotional products business for almost 20 years and began selling premium and incentives almost 20 years before that. He joined the Chicago-based Incentive Services Inc. in the early seventies and formed Four Star Incentives Inc. in 1979. Schermerhorn joined Beacon Promotions in 2006, where is he currently the Great Lakes regional vice president of sales.
