The Bob Levitt Co. (BLC), Encino, Calif., has entered into a shared services agreement with Mustang Marketing, a 27-year-old agency based in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and therefore will provide promotional marketing services to all of Mustang’s clients.
“The model of having corporate clients go to their agencies for promotional products, and then, in turn, have the agencies go to distributors like us, never seemed to make sense to me,” said Bob Levitt, the founder and president of his namesake 2-year-old firm.
Due to limited sources, Mustang often did not include promotional marketing in the mix, but now can offer promotional merchandise as part of its overall service, as BLC will provide ideas that support the client’s marketing objectives.
While both firms will continue to operate as separate entities as well, Mustang has given up its industry affiliation number.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
“Collaboration is the new currency,” Levitt said.
