Bodek and Rhodes Launches Industry’s First Apparel Design Studio with Design-to-Print Technology

Bodek and Rhodes, Philadelphia, a leading wholesaler of imprintable activewear, announced it developed a virtual studio for design-to-print artwork creation. The Apparel Design Studio, exclusively for Bodek and Rhodes customers, is the very first system to act as both a marketing tool and a design tool. The studio also includes a comprehensive library of ready-to-print clip-art images, fonts, and virtual samples of the company’s more than nine hundred styles, all customizable by color.

The Apparel Design Studio is now live on the Bodek and Rhodes Web site and customers can log in to watch a demonstration video. The video shows how Bodek and Rhodes customers can easily add logos and artwork to a chosen style, as well as add customized text and design elements from a huge library of images. The studio also allows customers to e-mail customized virtual samples to clients, create product spec sheets and save and download the final high-resolution art.

“We’re always looking for ways to assist our customers and simplify their selling process,” said president Mike Rhodes. “This tool not only helps to streamline the process of creating and presenting samples and artwork but can also enhance their current production capabilities.” Rhodes summed up the Apparel Design Studio’s benefits to customers, “Imagine, while you’re on the phone with a client, you can create an instant, full-color mock-up of their exact style with proposed artwork, e-mailed to them just minutes later. How impressed will that client be?”

“The Apparel Design Studio can be both a marketing tool as well as a production tool” stated Rich Carter, the website manager and developer of the program. “It’s designed to make it easy for our customers to create quick, professional virtual samples and also act as an extension to their art capabilities.”
