BroderBros. Co. and Columbia End Relationship

Portland, Oregon-based Columbia Sportswear and Trevose, Pennsylvania-based BroderBros Co., including the company’s Alpha, Broder and NES divisions, have mutually decided to terminate their longstanding relationship due to business and economic pressures faced in 2009.

“We are extremely disappointed to be ending our relationship with Columbia,” said Girisha Chandraraj, senior vice president of marketing at BroderBros. “It’s a great brand and we’ve shared a mutually beneficial relationship.” Chandraraj continued, “That said, we are committed to serving our customers and their needs with our extensive portfolio of branded items such as Rossignol, Devon & Jones, Weatherproof and Chestnut Hill.”

The relationship termination is effective immediately and BroderBros Co. plans to sell through its remaining inventory of Columbia Sportswear products.
