Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), the not-for-profit association for more than 10,600 members of the $17.7 billion promotional products industry, has promoted Carol Gauger to director of member engagement and regional relations. Her focus will be on developing the organizational structures and processes to ensure meaningful, productive and rewarding experiences for the association’s volunteers; engaging and recognizing member loyalty; and enhancing the overall membership experience.
“During her time with PPAI, Carol has proved to be an invaluable asset because of her industry experience and enthusiasm,” said Paul Bellantone, CAE, PPAI president and CEO. “I am confident she will bring the same level of commitment and creativity to her new role as a director with the association.”
Gauger has considerable experience, both at the association and with industry companies. She has held leadership roles at Dart Business Accessories and at Senator Promotional Group USA, where she was vice president of sales and marketing. At PPAI, she has led the association’s awards, recognition and member engagement initiatives.
“Member engagement is a primary focus at the association, and I believe my extensive experience in the industry, combined with my time at the association, form the foundation I need to deliver a truly satisfying membership experience for both new and long-time members,” said Gauger. “In fact, we have just completed development of an updated strategic plan. With this process, each staff member has been looking at ways to deliver a relevant experience that is reflective of members’ needs and wants in today’s marketplace. Exciting things are on the horizon.”
