At this past Summer Olympics, Team USA athletes showed off some of the branded bounty they received from sponsors like Nike and Ralph Lauren.
With the Winter Olympics in Beijing right around the corner, athletes are once again showing off some of the cool freebies they received at the Olympic Village.
Right off the bat, one of the most noteworthy products is the “Beijing 2022” bedspread that athletes slept on in their rooms. Additionally, snowboarder Maddie Mastro showcased a branded pillow that unzips to become a blanket, complete with this year’s Winter Olympics mascot Bing Dwen Dwen, an adorable panda, adorning the front.
Seems like this #BingDwenDwen blanket pillow(Is that it's name?) is the most popular thing in the Olympics village. #Beijing2022 pic.twitter.com/oRYHlrAN68

Skier Tessa Maud took to Tik Tok to display the Team USA-branded apparel from Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand, including jackets, robes, sweatpants, sweatshirts, shorts, underwear, socks, thermal pants, pajama pants, T-shirts, tank tops, sports bras,
This is all in addition to the outfits to be worn by athletes during the Opening Ceremony, as well as when they land on the podiums.
I always love the @RalphLauren winter olympics outfits. https://t.co/negFzmWldB

Don’t look now, but our neighbors to the north got some pretty cool branded merchandise, too, from athleisure superpower Lululemon.
Decked out in their brand new @lululemon gear, #TeamCanada athletes are arriving in Beijing in style 💃🕺
The Canadian-inspired looks are innovative, versatile, and super-stylish‼️

These companies are have a lot to work with using national team motifs as well as the Olympics branding itself, so it makes it easy to really go big and create a memorable branding experience.
The Olympics only happen once every four years, so you might as well really go for it.
