Revel, a $2.4 billion lifestyle resort in Atlantic City, N.J., selected Cincinnati-based distributor Cintas Corporation to design and create the property’s first apparel collection for employees. Recently unveiled during the resort’s opening, the collection was designed to reflect Revel’s scenic views, contemporary architecture and approachable atmosphere. More than 3,000 employees are outfitted in the retail-inspired collection, including hotel and casino associates, cocktail servers and security. In addition, Cintas Corporation operates the resort’s on-site wardrobe room to ensure operational efficiency and image professionalism.
“Our goal was to help Revel reinvent the guest experience in Atlantic City by creating an upscale, ‘lifestyle’ destination promoting relaxation and comfort,” said Katerina Helebrantova, creative director at Cintas Corporation. “To do this, Cintas designers reinvented traditional styles in a natural color palette and created a simple yet elegant wardrobe for staff members.”
To complement Revel’s natural surroundings, including the Atlantic Ocean, beach and boardwalk, fashion designers at Cintas Corporation wove earth-tone colors throughout the collection. For example, customer-facing staff, such as front desk professionals, concierge and security officers, are dressed in tailored suiting pieces in oyster-plaid or charcoal and accented with coral-colored tank tops, blazers and ties. In the spirit of gaming, lounge and cocktail servers are outfitted in elegant black dresses paired with a selection of sheer layering tops. Dealers and clerks don simple yet sharp, white shirts with black vests and pants embellished with a tonally embossed Revel logo.
For all job functions, Cintas Corporation designers used industry-leading apparel and manufacturing technologies to create the garments. Blouses and dress shirts feature moisture-control fabric for maximum dryness, comfort and wrinkle resistance, and blazers, vests and skirts feature fast-drying, temperature-regulating lining for maximum breathability.
To help maintain the integrity of the new apparel collection and streamline operations, Cintas Corporation also partnered with Revel to open and run the property’s extensive on-site wardrobe room. Staffed by 13 company professionals, including three seamstresses, the wardrobe room provides Revel with precise inventory control, enhanced reporting services and improved associate appearance. Open 24/7, the 4,750 sq. ft. facility contains 11 conveyor systems for quick, organized storage, and Cintas Corporation uses advanced tracking software to prevent lost or stolen garments. Through the distributor’s rigorous management and reporting processes, the onsite wardrobe room protects Revel’s image and uniform investment by ensuring that garments are properly supplied, cleaned and maintained for more than 3,860 professionals-over 3,000 in Revel uniforms and over 800 partner associates.
“Revel has re-set the bar of excellence in hospitality and gaming in Atlantic City, and we are honored to be their chosen partner for uniform design, supply and operation,” said Tyler Dion, diector of gaming for Cintas Corporation.
