ComfortWash Brand Joins Hanes4Education Program

ComfortWash, the garment-dyed apparel brand from the makers of Hanesbrands Inc., Winston-Salem, N.C., has joined Hanes4Education. Effective Aug. 1, all purchases of ComfortWash tees and fleece purchased from suppliers can raise cash for a K-12 school.

The Hanes4Education program allows suppliers and their customers to help support K-12 schools through a unique cash rebate offer. Exclusive to the decorated apparel industry, Hanes4Education offers $0.10 per Hanes, Champion or ComfortWash printed apparel item ordered through suppliers, with checks going directly to the K-12 school designated by the customer.

“We’re excited to add ComfortWash, and provide even more opportunities for suppliers and their customers to support local schools,” said John Spivey, marketing manager for HanesBrands Branded Printwear. “As a cash rebate program, it’s easy to explain how it directly benefits their local schools. Customers get great, quality apparel, and the local school of their choice gets a check.”

Launched this year, ComfortWash garment-dyed apparel was designed with a focus on softness, color and printability. Made with 100 percent American-grown cotton from U.S. farms, a proprietary dye process helps eliminate the messy, unwanted side effects of printing and owning traditional pigment dyed garments. ComfortWash apparel has a vintage, lived-in look with a consistent canvas, a long-lasting print, no-shrink comfort and a super-soft feel right out of the box.

Through Hanes4Education, Hanes has donated more than $1 million to schools across the country.

All public and private K-12 schools registered with the appropriate state agency are eligible to participate. Schools can earn a maximum of $500 per order and $5,000 total for the calendar year.

All screen-print customers can participate by providing their invoices to local schools. This includes businesses, teams, community organizations, sororities, fraternities, etc. The Rebate Form can be completed by the customer or by the recipient school. There is no paperwork required of the supplier other than to provide the customer with an invoice that clearly states that Hanes, Champion and/or ComfortWash printed products were purchased.
