Crystal D, the supplier of corporate awards and gifts based in St. Paul, Minnesota, has purchased a new building in St. Paul to initially serve as additional warehouse space and also for future growth plans.
“We are excited for the additional space,” said Kari Hurtis, vice president of operations for Crystal D. “It’s allowing us to increase our inventory and double our production capacity.”
Crystal D’s growth has increased over the past several years, and the expansion comes at a time when inventory is important to the level of service that is provided to its customers. The company is in the process of moving that inventory, which has remained well-stocked throughout the pandemic, to the new building from its current location and two additional off-site warehouses, doubling inventory space.
“This expansion is just one of many planned steps towards our five-year growth initiatives,” said Chuck Dahlgren, president of Crystal D. “It will allow us to remain nimble during times of transition as we continue to grow and prepare for future acquisitions. Most importantly, it allows our Memory Makers to continue to keep our high standards of service and deliver on the promise of fast production.”
The 40,000 square-foot building allows the company to house all inventory in one location and expand the production and shipping areas to accommodate more orders.
