In a letter to customers, Dard Products/TAGmaster announced that DARD Design International is now operating independently from its former parent company and is no longer involved in the day-to-day operations of the Evanston, Illinois-based supplier. The letter from Cary Shevin, company president and Jason A Emery, company vice president of sales and marketing, is printed below in full.
Dear Friends,
The environment in which we conduct our business continues to change at a rapid pace. Over the years I have experienced the evolution of both DARD Products/TAGmaster as well as our supplier peers and loyal distributor partners. Needless to say it’s been a wonderful ride and one which has been very good to my family, friends and longtime customers. For over 60 years TAGmaster has continued to be one of the most trusted suppliers in the industry and has worked closely with our distributors to provide promotional solutions to its customers. We pride ourselves in providing quality, great service and trust in those that we are fortunate to do business with.
Because of this, I am happy to announce that we here at DARD/TAGmaster are continuing to evolve at a rapid pace. As many of you know, DDI (DARD Design International) which is owned and operated by Bonni-Shevin Sandy, was once a division of our company. In March 2011, DDI became its own entity and began to run independently. As DDI has continued to grow and further develop its own infrastructure, their business model required them to move to a new facility which solidified the independence of the organization. It is a result of these changes that DDI’s President/Owner and staff are no longer employed by or involved with the day to day operations of DARD Products, Inc/TAGmaster. This change was necessary so that both companies could continue to grow in their own direction while maintaining their individuality.
For us here at DARD Products/TAGmaster, this change allowed us to focus on our core business which is to service our distributor partners, develop new innovative products and provide a level of service which is unparalleled in this great industry. As a result of these changes, DDI no longer handles the importing responsibilities of DARD Products/TAGmaster. Future inquiries for large quantity and overseas orders can be directed to [email protected] in which our knowledgeable staff will be happy to facilitate any requests that you might have.

As these changes occur, we promise to continue to build our company around the integrity that has been linked to the DARD Products/TAGmaster name for over 60 years.
