Digispec and CounterPoint, based in Las Vegas, have introduced a new base material called DuraTec which will be available on hard surface mouse pads and counter mats.
“We were introduced to DuraTec with the acquisition of Convergence Corporation in April of 2012,” says Robin Fink, sales director. “Since the material is superior to our current medium duty backing, we are adding it to our full mouse pad and counter mat line.”
DuraTec is a durable, latex-free, synthetic rubber backing that has excellent non-skid properties. Available in 1/16″ and 1/8″ thicknesses, the new base material will replace their medium duty backing by the end of the year. DuraTec gives customers a more durable product than medium duty at the same price. As the preferred base material used by Convergence in their Precision Molded counter mats, DuraTec has a long history of proven performance in the counter mat market.
