If you’ve been to a major theme park like Disney World, you’ve likely seen groups or families with coordinated outfits. They’re usually wearing custom T-shirts with their names on them, or celebrating some sort of anniversary or event. Before, these people either made the shirts themselves or went through a printing company. Disney noticed the trend and decided to cut out the middle man by now offering print on demand Disney Parks “authentic custom T-shirts and gear,” available via its web store.
Disney’s online store lists various apparel items, like T-shirts, 3/4-sleeve tees and sweatshirts, as well as other products like bags, jewelry, kitchen items and wallets. It also features a variety of designs with popular characters, different fonts and colors, and design themes modeled after the parks overall.
Love these, and glad to see that they are doing the same for Adventures by Disney! #DisneyMP

This is a smart move by Disney. The company knows people are going to wear these shirts to its parks anyway, so why not reap the financial benefits from it? But it could impact some promotional products distributors who deal in small orders like these. (Although, you should be turning those down, anyway.) The move could also be a sign of things to come as larger companies continue to embrace print on demand for their merchandise operations.
What we also learned from Theme Park Insider is that some people frown upon wearing a shirt to the theme park in question. It makes sense, honestly. Some of us (specifically someone whose names rhymes with Grendan Fenapace) stand firm in the belief that you never wear a shirt for the band/artist you’re going to see.
So, while these shirts are great for group outings and family vacations, you’ll never see the Menapace family wearing them to Disney. You might see them at Hersheypark, though.
