When writing about eco-conscious initiatives and garments, it is difficult not to sound preachy or like a know-it-all so I will be frank: I know it all. All the things. I know that today is Wednesday. I know that you are a promotional products salesperson. I know my ABCs, 123s and The Jackson 5 song to go with them. I know that you have excellent taste in online reading.
None of those things have to do with being green, you say? I don’t know how to respond. If you want to go green, sell eco-friendly apparel and read the green apparel feature in Promo Marketing’s June issue.
Plastic Fantastic
The Adult Short Sleeve Tee from Delta Apparel is made of 5.5 oz., 50/50 recycled P.E.T. polyester/cotton. The shirt has a tearaway label, a 3/4″ seamed rib-knit collar, taped neck and shoulder seams, and two-needle sleeve and bottom hems. The recycled polyester is made from five plastic bottles. The shirt comes in sieve colors and sizes S through 2X.
A Good Sport
Dunbrooke’s Fast Trek is made for sportsmen who value the environment. The 100 percent polyester jacket has two front zip pockets and comes in navy, black or British tan. Available sizes are S through 5XL.
See Clearly
When I think of a gorgeous vista, I picture a mountain scene or beachscape. Clearly, Tri-Mountain had this combination of beauty and nature in mind when it introduced the Vista jacket. The 80/20 recycled polyester/polyester anti-pilling micro fleece jacket is lightweight and environmentally conscious. The jacket boasts chest and front zippered pockets as well as elastic-bound cuffs.
