December 2013 has brought a snowy winter to the Northeast. For now, the snow sits gleaming white atop tree branches and hilltops–like a vision from Julie Andrews’ Sound of Music. But we’ve been through enough winters to know that this picturesque snow won’t last. Soon it will be covered in car oil, mud and—if you live in a city—trash. Take advantage of this brief window of beauty by selling robes and loungewear. Even after the snow turns to muck, end-users can cuddle up in logoed pajamas and watch the remake of Sound of Music. (If you mute the parts when Carrie Underwood has dialogue, it is a really beautiful three hours.)
Here are three loungewear items pulled from Promo Marketing’s October issue. Turn to page 92 of that issue for more robes and spa wear.
Jersey Fresh
The Cotton Spandex Jersey Yoga Pant from American Apparel has a fold-over waist, a slightly flared leg and a 95/5 cotton/spandex jersey construction. The form-fitting pants come in black, white, navy, baby blue or heather gray, and in sizes XXS to XL. They’re guaranteed to make your ananda balasana more graceful (but you still won’t have a clue how to pronounce it).
Will It Blend?
The Gildan Missy Fit Heavy Blend Open Bottom Sweatpants from Bodek and Rhodes are made from 8 oz. preshrunk 50/50 cotton/polyester and have a covered elastic waistband with a flat drawcord. They’re great for exercising, or for saying you’re going to exercise then eating ice cream and re-watching season three of Lost instead. (Hey, we had good intentions.) The sweatpants come in 10 colors and in sizes S to 2XL.
Primary Collars
The Shawl Collar Terry Velour Robe from Pro Towels is made from 12 oz., 100 percent cotton and can be embroidered on the chest. Could you decorate it with something other than the Ghostbusters logo? Sure. But why would you want to? The robe measures 48″ in length and comes in white only.
