Until someone complains, I’m going to keep basing all the Editor’s Picks articles around whatever song happens to be playing on my iPod. And if anyone complains about the hardest working man in show business, I’m going to ignore them.
To balance out our last edition of editor’s picks, when we took a look at some of the popular ladies’ apparel featured in our May issue, this week we’re going to focus on the clothing that makes a man. Listed below are some of the basics every guy should have in his wardrobe, staples that are perfect as promotional products. They won’t make you as cool as James Brown, but really, nothing will.
Easy on the Eyes
There’s nothing a man can wear that can’t be improved by adding a sharp blazer. Executive Apparel makes dressing up an outfit easy with the Easywear Blazer, a single-breasted, two-button jacket with a center vent and three-button sleeve. It’s available in a number of colors including navy, black, and gray.
The Only Shirt You’ll Ever Need
The most versatile, best looking and most important item in a man’s wardrobe is a good quality white oxford shirt. It works in the office with a suit and tie, or untucked with jeans on the weekend. Make sure you, and your clients, have one, like the 100 percent cotton Devon & Jones Men’s Noble Pima Oxford from Broder Bros.
Showing Off The Bee’s Knees
I’m cheating on this one: I haven’t owned a pair of shorts in 14 years. That’s a public service, to keep from blinding people with the awesome paleness of my legs. Everyone else should own a pair of rugged, go anywhere, do anything cargo shorts. A+ Career Apparel has you covered (above the knees, at least) with their Cargo Shorts.
