EME, based in Fair Lawn, N.J., has hired Lauren Fox as vice president, a position that begins on April 1. In this new role, she manages the planning, developing and executing of all existing and future EME Promotional Products Events.
Her responsibilities include the sales and marketing for the company and events in order to demonstrate the effectiveness and success of an EME meeting. Additionally, she manages supplier/distributor relations to help them prepare prior to each event to maximize their experience and handles all post-show follow up and feedback for continual growth to meet the evolving demands from both suppliers and distributors.
“Due to the tremendous success of the current EME events and the growing demand for expansion, I needed to expand my team and Lauren is the ideal person for the job,” said Eric Taras, CEO/president of EME. “Because of her diverse experience working as an industry supplier, distributor and service provider, she brings unique insight to prospective and current exhibitors and attendees that will be invaluable as we move forward.”
For the past seven years, Fox has been the sales and marketing manager for Valdosta, Georgia-based Fresh Beginnings Inc. Previously, she spent two years as owner of Big Ideas LLC, a promotional products distributorship. She got her start in the industry as PPAI’s sales manager for PPB magazine as well as a SAAGNY sales representative, concurrently working both positions for seven years.
Fox commented, “As an exhibitor at six previous EME events, I’ve been able to experience everything EME has to offer, which will be extremely beneficial for both suppliers and distributors as I work with them to grow their businesses. This unique format, when executed properly, is not only an extremely cost-effective vehicle, but it is immensely successful in relationship building, the cornerstone of this industry. Attending these events as a supplier not only increased my immediate sales, but it also created opportunities far reaching from the individuals that were met.
